Unfurling Christmas

Christmas Unfurls in the most unexpected ways,
It is what it is! No amount of groaning dissuades.

The shopping, the lighting, the visiting, the greeting,
The sparkling, the partying, the wrapping, the gifting.

Christmas is the time to make it simple and just Be,
Planned carefully, no expectation, the simpler the more free.

To enjoy the unique gifts of being in this moment with each other,
Your sister, your husband, your children, your mother….

To remember and hold close those who are no longer present,
The gifts that they shared are forever more cherished.

The Love that flows to those who are near and far,
In the country, other cities, other places, other stars.

I love this time of year, though some do complain,
I love the shopping and gifting and wrapping…insane!

There are those who go without, for them I do pray,
That they are supported to find a path, that sustains a new way.

Praying with peaceful action is what the world needs,
Food, clothing, gifts and money always help to feed.

Believing in the whole world’s abundance helps to free our thinking,
And act in ways that unify and support globally connecting.

The true Joy is in giving and showing humanity great Love,
Knowing that it flows eternally from the Divine, within as above.

My family is my greatest gift and we celebrate together,
My boys are so precious, I’m proud I am their mother.

Wishing you all a journey that is infinitely divine,
May you and yours be blessed and your hearts intertwined.

About R Congues

Funny enough, this blog has become the expression of my hopes, dreams, love and experiences. It came about because of the situation I discovered I was in, and I am delighted to see it grow and heal into something different: I am a parent of two children, one who has experienced severe anxiety that became disabling in all aspects of their life. I am a teacher of Maths, Science and Religious Education with a Masters in Special Needs Education; I am a qualified Reiki master, with a love of art and creative experience. I am not a professional in the fields of psychology or medicine. (If you are interested in these perspectives there are many internet sites to use.) I am simply expressing my experience in my own unique way.
