So Sexy..

Being Sexy…

Reflections in the mirror reveal the curving lines of spring
The possibilities abounding, the physicality of things

The light reveals the movement, the swaying of the hips
The wobble of the thighs and the pursing of the lips

The air sweeps gently over, the skin so fresh and clean
The sparkling water toweled away, hair a brilliant glean

The mind is cast so far away to the toils of the day
The stress of keeping family together and anxiety at bay

The black dog has run miles in her head, growled, barked and peed
Her spirit seeks the refuge of sleep, to restore and to re-feed

The physicality provides the canvas of untruth and deceit
The feelings of worth and oneness are further-est from complete

The shell stands wondering when will I be whole
When will I be witnessed and seen through it all

Her eyes reveal the truth, they appear hollow and resolute
Taking the next step is all she holds on to, this is her one truth

This projection of So Sexy, is not of her making
She stands tall and proud, but she’s not for the taking

The Sexy transpose is the making of others
Who view what they want to see, what they knew once ago

And so she steps forward, with seeming disregard
Her boys are her treasures, for whom she works ever hard

But the cost of dis-connection with self has been so steep and severe
The scars, invisible, yet they reveal the healing that endears

Sexy is a cloak, we place upon people we see
The power is imbued, only when we choose to be

The one who wears the cloak by choice and with gusto and verve
The one who takes ownership and steps out with nerve

The one who wants and is ready to connect with a special other
Who has kicked the black dog to the street and can be more than a mother

Sexy is a state of mind, a thought, a focus… not a look
It’s about the bodies openness and the ingredients to cook

Are Health, Happiness, Connection, Understanding, Acceptance, Love
Time to heal, time to be and the spiritual divine from above

May you connect deeply and may beauty you find
Within yourself and your relationships, each divine

May the words “so sexy” be said when you are
Wearing the cloak by choice, instigating your star.

Shine brightly oh little one, you have traveled so far
Leave behind the debris and celebrate all that you are!

About R Congues

Funny enough, this blog has become the expression of my hopes, dreams, love and experiences. It came about because of the situation I discovered I was in, and I am delighted to see it grow and heal into something different: I am a parent of two children, one who has experienced severe anxiety that became disabling in all aspects of their life. I am a teacher of Maths, Science and Religious Education with a Masters in Special Needs Education; I am a qualified Reiki master, with a love of art and creative experience. I am not a professional in the fields of psychology or medicine. (If you are interested in these perspectives there are many internet sites to use.) I am simply expressing my experience in my own unique way.
