Out at a free concert at the Festival of Sails, enjoying a drink in the balmy weather, full moon rising, chatting with a friend and my husband. The conversation lead to tattoos and my husband was asked if he had one, No he replied but we were discussing them today. Our son’s friend’s older brother had just got himself a tattoo of a snake eating itself. None of us had any idea of the spiritual significance, and the discussion went on.
Ella Hooper was performing and we were enjoying her music, most of which were original new tracks. In between her songs she started talking about the symbol of the snake eating itself, the Ouroboros and how it was linked to the ongoing universal energy and the continuous cycles of life and death. It was amazing and my friend turned to me excitedly and pointed out the synchronicity.
To add to that the boy with the tattoo’s father was the one who introduced me to the book on Synchronicity. Spine tingle!! But what does it mean…?
For me it asks me to look at my life and review what am I revisiting, the joy and laughter and silliness I allowed myself to experience, the freedom, was that of my youth. I had the energy to dance on the board walks, singing at the tops of my lungs, just as I use to do in my youth. Maybe I am finally learning to be in the present moment, not continuously focused on the welfare of my teenage children, and continuously scared of what might possibly happen. This is big and I am willing to continue this path of celebration and fun, whilst still loving and caring for my children.
So what would the Ouroboros mean for you in your life? There may be a reason I am sharing this and you are reading this?
What synchronicity are you experiencing?
