I’m not that important!

Reflection is a funny thing
It can bring you out of yourself!
Or cause you to look within and navel gaze…
Creating much pain; a very sore neck!

The truth of the matter is the world is so big,
What I choose to be upset by…
What I choose to let fly…
Doesn’t affect the fly or the fig!

The stars and moon still move through the sky…
* The refugees still flee from oppression
* The earthquakes and weather rage on their own
* Victims protest of their inflicted abuse

Great stuff will happen?
Yuck stuff too!
I will experience the victim,
The aggressor, the savior, the healer…

Each is but an experience,
A hoop to jump through!
All I can change…
Is my blasted attitude!!!!!!!!

Look to the skies?
Put your problems in perspective…
You are not so special,
That no ill will befall you!

All that is planned for journey will occur.
The learning and the juggling,
Through spectating or action…
The thoughts are all up to you

I’m not so important to warrant a “VIP status”
I am as important as every other person on this planet!
To think more or less of yourself or anyone else
Is to inflict your assumptions and create a living mess.

Thank-you that I get to live
And make a difference, an impact…
By simply being me,
Here and now on this planet!

Cheers to us all,
We are worthy
We are love
We make the Change

About RC

Funny enough, this blog has become the expression of my hopes, dreams, love and experiences. It came about because of the situation I discovered I was in, and I am delighted to see it grow and heal into something different.

My mantra at the moment comes from the movie ‘The Help’. ‘You is kind, you is good, you is loved’. Loved the image of the navel gazing and the sore neck! Had never connected the two before!!! Ha ha! yet so poignantly true. Thank you again for you beautiful reflection.

Thanks, a friend and I had always thought that perhaps navel gazing…looking at our own problems actually caused us to stay in a place of pain and need for the “Help” of others. look to the light I reckon…Look to Lovexx
