Planting for the future

Autumn has begun…but Geez it feels like spring!

I thought I would share the pleasure of planting for the future.

My wonderful husband brought home a stick less than a metre high and placed it in the ground where one of our trees had died. Over the next few years it grew and began bearing the most magnificent figs.

That stick was planted at a time when things were not going well. Our lives were mixed up. The foresight to plant for the future, to hold true, to nurture, love and have faith that the future is unfolding brings me now a real sense of Joy and Delight.

So my family now reaps the delicious benefits of this wonderful tree. Unfortunately we all Love them and often it is my foresighted husband who sometimes misses out. These toatlly organic figs drip with honey flavours, bright colors and a wonderful texture. Hope you enjoy the snaps…there’s simply not enough to share…yet!

About R Congues

Funny enough, this blog has become the expression of my hopes, dreams, love and experiences. It came about because of the situation I discovered I was in, and I am delighted to see it grow and heal into something different: I am a parent of two children, one who has experienced severe anxiety that became disabling in all aspects of their life. I am a teacher of Maths, Science and Religious Education with a Masters in Special Needs Education; I am a qualified Reiki master, with a love of art and creative experience. I am not a professional in the fields of psychology or medicine. (If you are interested in these perspectives there are many internet sites to use.) I am simply expressing my experience in my own unique way.
