When the Light goes Out…remember…

When the light goes out

You feel lost and afraid

The darkness infiltrates you world

You become accustomed to life without light

You wonder if it was ever on

Treasured where the times

When you were sure of the light

It’s everlasting existence

It is joyfully buzzing and bright

Where has it gone? Can it really switch off?

Is it lost between the cracks of pavers?

Is it hidden with the lost socks?

How has this moment appeared?

Where is the connection to the beauty of light?

Voices of wisdom

Echo deep in the darkness

Urging us forward to rediscover, to reconnect.

All that is required is persistence of mind

The giving up and failing

Are easy lies to buy.

Many are happy to see you fail

They are vindicated and right

You are not that special

You do not deserve to walk in the light

Judgement is a bias that compartmentalises people

It creates the us and them,

The dark and light

It dismantles the continuum

Yet the truth cannot be undone

No matter how viewed

The light rages through each of you

There is nothing to do

Be aware, be conscious

Say hello to the dark

It has much to teach

And it is need for this life

The light can too be greeted

With same joy and delight

It is here that you play

Putting into practice what you have learnt

Thank-you to the darkness

Thank-you to the lightness

Open your heart and dispel the terror

For this is your new beginning

This is your start point

The continuum is turning

You are upon it

Remember…You are light.

About R Congues

Funny enough, this blog has become the expression of my hopes, dreams, love and experiences. It came about because of the situation I discovered I was in, and I am delighted to see it grow and heal into something different: I am a parent of two children, one who has experienced severe anxiety that became disabling in all aspects of their life. I am a teacher of Maths, Science and Religious Education with a Masters in Special Needs Education; I am a qualified Reiki master, with a love of art and creative experience. I am not a professional in the fields of psychology or medicine. (If you are interested in these perspectives there are many internet sites to use.) I am simply expressing my experience in my own unique way.
