She Lives

She sits in the comfort of her home,
Not waiting nor feeling alone,
The gentle sound of her breath,
Barely perceived.

She sits and experiences the expansive joy,
Of being here, alive,
Feeling the connections of energy thrumming,
She sinks into the wholeness of her body.

Alert and asleep she finds the in between,
Where her reality is mixed with her dreams,
Where the responsibility is lifted for a moment in time,
She quickly steps into a dancers pose.

The music is the hum of Mother Earth,
Barefooted she embraces the gracefulness,
Each foot placed with gentle awareness,
Treading lightly and allowing herself to be.

Saying no to that which infringes on her time,
And yes to experience that enlivens her being,
The bright golden vibrancy shimmers in delight,
Her soul rejoices in the light.

She knows not where she is going,
The Journey seems endless,
Truth she knows is it is ever changing,
She feels blessed for these moments alone.

Undaunted by life’s perceptions,
By the blasting of each other into a million pieces,
She cuts herself off from the harshness of hate,
Embracing the wonder of the human spirit of Love.

She opens her eyes and gently smiles,
The dance finished and the world of reality about to re-begin,
She hopes for the Peace she has just experienced,
To continue to expand and spread.

Holding her own hand she stands and gives thanks,
For the turmoil and hardship she has experienced,
It is this which has shown her the true Joy and delight,
And given her the freedom to truly Live…
